Beginner Mahjong Bootcamp

Join us at DASH for a fun and welcoming Beginner Mahjong Bootcamp, perfect for anyone who has always wanted to learn this timeless and social game.
This class will be led by Certified Mahjong Instructor Susan Katz of 904Mahj, who will guide you step-by-step through the fundamentals of American Mahjong. Through clear instruction and hands-on play, you’ll learn tile recognition, the flow of the game, basic strategy, and how to confidently sit down at a Mahjong table.
The session includes Mahjong 101 + Mahjong 101.5, designed to give beginners a strong foundation and the confidence to begin playing with friends or join future Mahjong gatherings.
Guests will enjoy a beautifully styled Mahjong setting inside DASH along with lunch and bubbly during the class.
Whether you're completely new to Mahjong or looking to refresh your skills, this bootcamp is the perfect introduction to a game that has quickly become the newest social pastime.
Seats are limited to 16 guests.

Meet your instructor, Certified Mahjong Instructor Susan Katz of 904Mahj, and get settled at your Mahjong table.
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Mahjong 101
Learn the fundamentals of American Mahjong including tile recognition, the Charleston, game flow, and basic strategy.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break
Enjoy lunch and bubbly while socializing with fellow Mahjong players.
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM – Mahjong 101.5
Build on the basics with deeper gameplay instruction and guided practice.
